Machrihanish Caravan & Camping Park is a peaceful family run site with level all weather pitches for Motor Homes, Caravans and Tents.
The site overlooks the famous links golf course with views of glorious Atlantic, Islay and Jura. We boast 3 miles of golden sands well known to surfers, canoeists, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Wild goats, seals and otters abound and we have a wonderful seabird observatory nearby.
The campsite is a short walk from the Beachcomber Bar and Restaurant. Also there are regular buses into The Wee Toon - bustling and vibrant Campbeltown - so pretty nestling around a sea loch overlooking Davaar Island.
THE BEACHES - Machrihanish is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the beaches along it's three miles of coastline range from the dramatic and breathtaking Gauldrons to the internationally recognised blue flag surfing beaches at Machrihanish. Westport Beach is one of the best surfing beaches in the UK - surfers travel miles to get a few hours of surf here.
The Gauldrons is a magnificent sheltered beach ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. The kids will be happy too with loads of rock pools to explore and pretty shells and stones to collect. Ferral goats roam the cliffs and can be seen on the beach. There are fine views across to Ireland just 12 miles away from the Mull of Kintyre.
SITE FACILITIES - As well as the general facilities listed we also offer - level all weather pitches, sheltered camping areas, small shop for basic provisions, two well maintained toilet/shower blocks with full disabled facilities and laundry.
CAMPERS ROOM - Provides comfortable seating for relaxation and dining and also the use of microwave, kettle, fridge and freezer, so welcome on those wet and windy days!
POTTERS HOUSE - Come and browse at our hand sculpted ceramics fashioned by Jacquie on site. Every piece is individually designed and crafted. Be inspired and take something away to remind you of your holiday on the majestic Kintyre.
Worth noting - excellent pitching for motor homes - flat and firm whatever the weather.
