Tigh na Mara lives up to its Gaelic name house by the sea and is situated on the peaceful Waternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye. This refurbished, comfortable, family owned croft house which was built by the owners late grandparents, offers an excellently equipped base for a family holiday or for a group of friends who simply want peace quiet and relaxation among some of the most outstanding views across Loch Dunvegan to the Islands of North and South Uist. You can relax in the evenings beside a glowing open fire and watch spectacular sunsets across the Loch. Close by Tigh Na Mara is a local potter, Shilasdair Skye Yarns, Skye Skins and Dunvegan Castle, the small village of Stein is just two miles along the road and boasts the oldest pub on Skye the Stein Inn and an excellent restaurant The Loch Bay. We offer three bedrooms on the first floor a twin and a double with views towards the sea and a shared bathroom. Down stairs is a well equipped large kitchen a large dinning room and lounge both with bay windows offering views over the loch, the single bedroom and shower room are on the ground floor, but possibly the most used room in the house is the sun lounge were our visitors say they spend many enjoyable evenings admiring the wonderful views and wildlife.
