Dirnow Schoolhouse

Extremely comfortable self-contained wing of recently refurbished Victorian schoolhouse. The accommodation is very cosy and spacious and includes quality furnishings, a very comfortable bedroom, newly fitted pine kitchen, Victorian-style bath and shower, plus a small conservatory with an additional dining area. There is oil-fired central heating, and the accommodation includes all the comforts guests would expect in their own homes. All rooms are on ground floor level. Sleeps 2 people.
The garden is very colourful and includes a small patio and garden swing seat. Red squirrels can occasionally be seen on the bird feeders in the garden. There is plenty of parking on the old school playground and under-cover parking is available if required. This is a peaceful location with fine views, abundant wildlife, forest walks and quiet roads. The house is located approximately 15 minutes drive from Newton Stewart, 20 minutes from Wigtown, the National Booktown and just 3 miles from the A75.
Dirnow Schoolhouse is an ideal base for fishing (approximately 1 mile from 3 lochs), walking, bird-watching (R.S.P.B. Reserves nearby), cycling, golf and gardens. Easy access to Irish ferries at Stranraer and Cairnryan. Pub, shop and Post Office in nearby Kirkcowan.
Pets are very welcome. All bed linen towels, heating and electricity included in the price. If you would like any further information, please get in touch.
