Take home some creel-caught lobster from Portpatrick’s harbour and visit a nearby smokehouse to stock up and learn more about this traditional food preparation process. Satisfy a sweet tooth at the Cream o’ Galloway Visitor Centre where you can make your own ice cream, and children can enjoy the fantastic adventure playground. The town is an ideal base for exploring a wealth of beautiful gardens, from the historic Castle Kennedy to the striking Logan Botanic Garden and enjoys a number of stunning sandy beaches that are well worth a visit.
