A warm welcome awaits you at Cloag Farm where you may stay in one of our three family-run farm cottages. Safely set away from main roads and traffic and with southerly panoramic views over Strathearn to the Ochil hills, staying at Cloag Farm offers you an opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The cottages have ample parking immediately beside them, and are surrounded by lawns, with mature woodland as a backdrop.

Cloag Farm Cottages are an ideal central base from which to explore Perthshire and beyond. Cloag Farm is seven miles west of Perth, just north of Methven village located on the A85.

Positioned at Scotland's geographical heart, Perthshire has a rich legacy of castles, churches, battlefields and historic sites. It is a wonderful place for walking, whether you are a beginner or a real stalwart. There are countless different craft industries, making everything from whisky to glass paperweights which can all be visited. Anyone interested in golf will appreciate the 37 golf courses within Perthshire. There is a growing number of outdoor activity operators who are here to help you tackle things like white water rafting, sailing, and some serious mountain climbing. Many of our visitors are pleasantly astonished that there is so much to see and do locally.

Perthshire is also Big Tree Country. Perthshire has some of the most remarkable trees, woodlands and country gardens in Europe. As the countryside is ablaze with trees and flowers they provide a spectacular backdrop for walks and activities. Just a short trip can take you to Europe's oldest tree, the world's highest hedge, the sole survivor from Shakespeare's 'Birnam Wood' ... and it doesn’t stop there.

The village of Methven is within walking distance and has a Post Office and Shop, fish and chip/Chinese take-away, two pubs - both of which serve food, a restaurant and a garage for servicing.

The town of Perth itself is 15 minutes by car and is an excellent shopping centre with a wide choice of shops and supermarkets. There is also a museum, 2 art galleries, a theatre, a children's indoor theme park, an ice rink and leisure pool and large public parks by the river Tay. A newly opened Concert Hall has an exciting and varied programme of events. Crieff is about 20 minutes away to the west, and is well worth a visit for exploring bespoke shops.

Looking further afield, day trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow, St. Andrews, and even Loch Ness and Glencoe are all popular with our visitors.

Whether you are visiting the area for the first time, or returning, perhaps to visit friends and family, we look forward to welcoming you to Cloag Farm.

Short breaks are available all year. Booking runs from any day to any day with special prices for Couples all year.

Best prices for all three cottages are from £250 to £395 per week/cottage
