Greenfield Self Catering
Greenfield Cottages is a series of farm buildings, which have been renovated for Self Catering Accommodation. We now have 5 cottages available. The Scottish Tourist Board have given us 3 and 4 star ratings.
Greenfield was part of a working farm dating back to the 1800's. The cottages are dotted around the property and are situated approximately 1 mile from Kirkwall. Greenfield stands off the main road and is in a quiet area. We are only 5 minutes from the town centre and all the amenities you will need for a holiday in the Orkney Isles. The surrounding countryside is picturesque and the views from the gardens are of Kirkwall Harbour on the South West and surrounding countryside views on the South East. The view of Orkney sunsets are particularly lovely.
Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement and there is ample parking provided. The fields front and rear of Greenfield are populated with Shetland ponies during the summer months and has always proved to be a hit with the young and old alike.
Each cottage has a rustic feel, in keeping with the renovation from the farm buildings. They are heated throughout and are tastefully decorated. All cottages have been fitted with quality pine furniture and equipped to a high standard. Most have futons/sofa beds, providing extra space for your visiting guests. Towels, bed linen and electricity are inclusive in the costs.
