Norrieston East Wing
Norrieston East Wing is a comfortable, spacious old manse located 1/2 a mile south east of the village of Thornhill and 10 miles from the historic town of Stirling.
Accommodation - sleeps six. The master bedroom is roomy with a new queen size double bed. The two other bedrooms each have two single beds. There are two bathrooms - one upstairs with a shower and bath, and the other downstairs with a shower only. There is a good sized sitting room, a well equipped kitchen and a small utility room. The house is centrally heated.
Within easy reach of Thornhill in its quiet, rural setting, there are lochs and mountains and places of historic interest as well as over 20 golf courses within an hour's drive! Stirling's wonderful castle overlooks the River Forth and has been at the crossroads of historical events for centuries. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth are all within an hour's drive of Thornhill.
Thornhill village (pop 500) has two pubs, a village shop and Post Office. It was founded in 1696 by Archibald Napier whose great grandfather was the mathematician John Napier - famous for inventing logarithms.
Stirling is well served by a good rail service to most of the main towns of Scotland.
