These images are a small sample of what can be seen at Earnknowe Holiday Cottage and Lodge. This area of Perthshire, in Scotland's first National Park, offers much for golfers, anglers, skiers, both water and snow, walkers and climbers. It is also a superb location to tour with many famous places within a days journey.

KINTYRE COTTAGE AND MULL LODGE - Kintyre Cottage on the right is ideal for two people. A cosy cottage with a wood burner for the winter months. Mull Lodge, with wheelchair assisted access, is ideal for four. Both propertiies have wonderful views overlooking Loch Earn.

HIGHLAND GAMES - "Tossing the caber" at the Balquhidder and Lochearnhead Highland Games. Always held in July, it is a gathering point for Clans MacGregor and McLaren. Competition is fierce.

RUTTING RED DEER - The rutting season in October, with the wonderful Perthshire collours, is a time to be out and about to sense the changing season of autumn towards winter. Shorter days means longer cosy evenings with a good book and a glass!!

GLEN OGLE VIADUCT - The viaduct in Glen Ogle carried the trains north from Callander to Oban and Mallaig. It is also part of the Sustrans Cycle Route 7.

WINTER CLIMBING - The picture shows climbers on the Ben Lawers mountain range just a few miles from Earnknowe. There are seroius challenges for the expert down to gentle strolls for those just wanting to take in the atmosphere of the hills.

TWO MEN IN A BOAT - Out fishing on Loch Earn for brown trout with friends and family, this trip resulted in a good bag of fish for supper. Loch Earn running into the Tay river system and Loch Lubnaig running into the Forth river system, provides wonderful opportunities for anglers of all ages at an affordable price. Tight Lines!!!

EDINAMPLE BRIDGE

EDINAMPLE BRIDGE - Edinample Bridge was swept away in 2004 by a flash flood but was rebuilt two tyears later by a local stonemason. It is above Edinample Castle and falls some 100 feet into a gorge. A scary place to be when the river is in spate.

WINTER OF 2010/11 - Frozen Loch Lubnaig taken at Christmas time 2010/11. Winter offers great opportunities for taking wonderful pictures with often very clear days and interesting light. You can always retire to the warmth of your cottage after a day out with your camera.

There are lierally dozens of courses with 30 miles to enjoy and the perthshire Golf Ticket enables the visitor to try out several course for a modest single fee.

INSIDE MULL LODGE - View of the inside of Mull Lodge. You don't have to go out to enjoy this wonderful part of Perthshire. You might get a visit by a passing red squirrel or see an osprey fishing Loch Earn. Take a drink on to the balcony to just enjoy fresh air!!
