Holmpark Cottages offer enchanting self-catering holiday lets on the east bank of the River Cree near the picturesque market town of Newton Stewart.
Situated on a small stalk farm near the market town of Newton Stewart, the cottages enjoy outstanding countryside views from the opposite bank of the unspoiled River Cree. They cater for two to four people in one double and one twin bedroom, with space for a small child in a cot. Each of the extensively refurbished cottages feature a spacious and comfortable living room complete with Freeview television and DVD player, fully-fitted kitchen and diner with cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster, a large shower room and a convenient free laundry and drying room.
This beautiful area is a paradise for sea, coarse and salmon fishermen as well as golfers, birdwatchers and walkers. The Galloway Forest Park’s subtropical gardens, castles and historic sites are also well within 25 miles of the cottages and easily accessible on quiet country roads. Enjoy a peaceful stroll on a woodland path, try out an exciting trail at one of the popular 7stanes mountain biking centres, or if you fancy something even more strenuous, head out to the hills and climb the Merrick, the highest peak in the south of Scotland.
