One of Portnellan's best features is its central location to exploring Scotland and that the lodges are not in any form of regimental line. Fishing, boats, bikes and Canadian canoes on 2 lochs and adjoining River Dochart
A short walk from your lodge and across the lambing field are the lochs and river. Here you will find free loch and river fishing, rowing boats and Canadian canoes for you to enjoy and explore the water. Portnellan has 5 miles of loch and river fishing. Loch Dochart has a small island with a castle ruin. Perfect for exploring. Built by local legendary figure "Black Douglas" many many years ago.
Free bicycles available for use.
Inclusive within the price of your accommodation in both 4 star and 5 star are the use of bicycles. Enjoy a days cycling one of the many quiet roads in the area, a farm track or hill road. The owner at Portnellan is a keen cyclist and will always help with advice on local routes.

Why not enjoy your food in the fresh Highland air or just take in the breath taking view scapes whilst sitting out on your private balcony. Here you will find a gas BBQ with free gas. Nestled in at the foot of the 7th highest mountain that towers above the estate which is in the back garden of your lodge.

This property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and can sleep up to 8 people comfortably. It is perfect for larger families or groups and also includes a design feature if you have an older person or couple to consider.
A downstairs twin bedoom with ensuite shower room with walk in shower. The other 3 bedrooms are located upstairs. The master double is ensuite and the further two double bedrooms share adjacent bathroom.
A fully fitted kitchen (recently refurbished in 2011) with all that is needed to make a fine family meal.
