Castleview Cottage - Kirkcudbright

Well maintained, single storey cottage set in typically attractive Galloway countryside as illustrated above. Extremely well situated for safe local beaches it takes its name from Plunton Castle, a nearby sixteenth century ruin on the farm. Cattle and sheep graze the owner's surrounding fields which afford stunning panoramic views of the Galloway hills and Solway coastline, including the Isle of Man. The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching and there are several challenging local golf courses.

We are next door to one of the area's most popular attractions, Cream O Galloway, where delicious home produced ice cream and adventure playground are just two of the many activities offered.

The local towns of Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet are very attractive and full of interest and history and being in the heartland of Dumfries and Galloway we are an excellent base from which to explore all parts of this superb region.
