Set on a working farm in a beautiful and tranquil part of Dumfries & Galloway, the cottage has been completely refurbished to comprise of a spacious double bedroom, large twin bedroom, modern shower room, fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, cooker, fridge and microwave, and an elegantly furnished sitting and dining room with TV, DVD player and traditional wood burning stove. All areas have been tastefully furnished and decorated to a particularly high standard, while outside, a large enclosed garden is the perfect space to unwind and let children play.
Lying just a short distance from the sea, the cottage forms an ideal base for walking the local coastal, hill and forest walks. Dalbeattie Forest with its fantastic 7stanes mountain biking centre is close-by while the Galloway Forest Park is within easy driving distance and offers 300 square miles of captivating landscape, rare wildlife and trails. Locally, bird watching, fishing and golfing are popular pursuits and are easily accessed. Auchencairn village is just 2 miles away with some shops for picking up essentials and visiting the fantastic 17th century inn. Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Dumfries are also only a short drive away.
