Our cottage is situated in Ardmore near to the historic Trumpan churchyard. Magnificent sea views of Dunvegan Head and the outer isles, with the best sunsets on Skye.
Ardmore Holiday Cottage is a fully equipped self-catering property situated in Waternish, on the north west of Skye. It has been rated three star by Visit Scotland. It is in a quiet location with magnificent sea views over to Dunvegan Head and across the Minch to the Western isles.
The cottage has two bedrooms and can sleep four. It has a fully equipped kitchen, large lounge-dining room and bathroom with shower. It stands on a large family run hill farm.
Visitors can enjoy exploring and rambling on the many beautiful walks. There is a shingle beach near by and miles of stunning coast line where there is the opportunity to spot wildlife. There are often sightings of great skua, golden eagle and maybe a sea eagle.You can listen for the elusive corncrake and try to spot it if you are lucky.
Locally on Waternish, there are two places to eat out and in Dunvegan there are several more eating places as well as good food shops. Portree, which is the island's main centre and has all the usual town facilities, is about half an hour's drive away.
