Glenlee Holiday Houses offer five self-catering holiday homes, just 2 miles from the villages of New Galloway and St John’s Town of Dalry. Set within a quiet secluded wood, the specially converted cottages, once part of the old Home Farm, adjoin each other around an attractive courtyard. Sleeping between four and seven guests, the cottages are fully equipped and offer a spacious living area, comfortable bedrooms, large bathrooms and a well designed kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. Outside there are picnic tables and benches and plenty of space for parking. Well-behaved pets are also welcome, provided they are house trained.
Take a relaxing woodland walk, known locally as ‘The Glen’ from the cottages and discover two spectacular waterfalls en route. Anglers will feel at home at Glenlee with free trout fishing offered on the owner’s stretch of the River Ken, with other fishing available locally. Perfect for outdoor pursuits, the area also offers sailing, canoeing and windsurfing at Loch Ken and golfers are welcome at the challenging 9-hole course at New Galloway. For walkers, the Southern Upland Way is right on the doorstep and there’s a number of RSPB Nature Reserves within a short driving distance.
