Glenlee Estate has been owned by the Agnew family for over seventy years. It lies in the Glenkens in the heart of Galloway - a charming, unspoilt corner of south west Scotland.
These specially converted traditional cottages were formerly part of the old Home Farm. They adjoin each other around a charming courtyard set in quiet secluded woods. There is a special woodland walk - The Glen - from the cottages through woodland and past two spectacular waterfalls.
Outside there are picnic tables and benches and there is plenty of space for car parking. Most mobile telephone networks operate from here and there is a telephone coin box next door to Millhouse. Pets are welcome provided they are house trained and respect the countryside.
At Glenlee free trout fishing is offered on our stretch of the River Ken and other fishing is available locally. There is a sporting nine-hole golf course at New Galloway and there is sailing, canoeing and windsurfing on Loch Ken. For walkers the Southern Upland Way is on the doorstep and New Galloway is an excellent centre for bird watching with two RSPB Reserves nearby. There are several interesting castles and historic buildings to visit the National Trust Gardens at Threave are a must for any keen gardener.
