Our two cottages, the Merman and Tigh Dubh, provide an ideal base for exploring Skye.
The cottages are sufficiently distant from each other to provide privacy yet are close enough for 2 families to enjoy a joint family holiday, together with the security and knowledge that the children can be free range as they bounce on the trampoline, play in the Wendy house or have an adventure exploring the croft
Merman Cottage
carefully renovated with attention to history and architectural detail and with wood-carvings from local craftsmen. The wood- panelled, open-plan living area, provides a comfortable space in which to relax after a day on the hills, by the wood-burning stove for colder evenings. There is also a TV & DVD with Freeview, radio, CD player and iPod docking station. Board games and a selection of books for all tastes provide entertainment for that odd rainy day. Tiles in the kitchen were hand-made in the local pottery, others were brought back by friends from India. The kitchen is well equipped including dishwasher and all necessary crockery and utensils. The unique wooden spiral staircase leads to a bathroom and two bedrooms, the double one with stunning views over the loch. The smaller bedroom has 2 single beds with views of the garden, croft walk and hills and the sound of the trickle of the burn which runs by the cottage.

Tigh Dubh - Black House.

Great care has been taken to keep the feel of this traditional Black House but with all the insulation and modern touches to ensure a comfortable and unique stay. A wooden panelled open plan living dining area provides a great space for relaxing, lounging over an extended breakfast or dinner.
