Getting there from the Information Centre
From Hawick Tourist Information centre follow directions for the A7 southbound in the Carlisle direction. From the A7 southbound take a right turn two miles south of Hawick onto the B711. Whitchester is approx 350 yards along the B711 on the right hand side just as the road bears round to the left.
Getting There by Railway
From Edinburgh Railway Station (55 miles). Bus link to Hawick Town Centre (bus stop by the Horse monument) - service 95. Guests can be met at the Horse by arrangement. From Carlisle (40 miles) bus link to Hawick guests should ask for the request stop at Martins Bridge (2 miles before Hawick) - service X95.
