All the rooms at Distant Hills are on the ground floor which gives easy access from our large private car park.

Upon arrival why not take up the offer of a welcoming refreshment with homemade shortbread in the comfortable guests lounge. In this bright room you can relax overlooking the garden, watch the birds or flick through the selection of books and magazines. The patio doors lead you into the garden.

The pleasant dining room offers good home cooking prepared from traditional Scottish ingredients, locally sourced where possible. The breakfast menu offers a wide range of dishes including vegetarian options to set up guests for a full days walking or touring in the Highlands.

Room 2 double ensuite bedroom
All the attractively furnished bedrooms are fully equipped with en-suite facilities, colour TV, hospitality trays and a luxury range of soaps, shampoos and shower gels. Luxury continues with fabulous soft white bath sheets and towels with lots of other little touches. The majority of our rooms have flat screen TVs with built in DVD players.

Ensuite double room on a quiet corner of the house looking on to our cherry blossom and plum trees. This room was redecorated in January 2010 and also now has a 22 inch Toshiba flat screen TV with built in DVD player

The chequered skipper butterfly can sometimes be seen in our garden or failing that there are several butterfly sites in the surrounding area.
Breathtaking walks
Loch Arkaig is nearby and offers some wonderful walks.
Aonach Mor in Autumn
Aonach Mor is a beautiful mountain just 4 miles from Distant Hills. There is a mountain cable car, walks, bike trails, farm shop, cafes and of course winter skiing
Golfing
If you like to golf the local course is 10 minutes walk from Distant Hills
