Scarista House is a Georgian former manse in a stunning location overlooking three miles of golden shell sand beach on the wild Atlantic coast of Harris. There are six elegant, traditionally furnished bedrooms, three of which are suites and two guest sitting rooms, both with open fires and lots of books. The two AA rosette restaurant is open to non residents and serves a daily changing set menu of local fish, shellfish, lamb, beef and game and, when possible, organic home-grown vegetables and fruit. Scarista House is, perhaps, the best place anywhere to enjoy doing as little as possible. Self catering cottage also available.
