Carriden House - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

From Bo'ness Tourist Information Centre pass through town eastbound on A904 and continue for about 1.5 miles until road turns sharply to the right up Carriden Brae (beside Carriden Church). Go up hill, and near top, 100 yards after 'Muirhouses' sign turn left along farm track beside stone cottage. Follow track for 700 yards. Carriden House is the fourth property on left (sign on gate) 7 minutes journey time.

Getting There by Railway

From Linlithgow take A803 Bo'ness and M9 motorway. Pass over motorway (do not join it) and continue on A904 towards Bo'ness. After 1.5 miles turn right opposite bus shelter into Carriden Brae. Third turning on the right (as road begins to go downhill) is farm track beside stone cottage. Take this track and follow for 700 yards. Carriden House is fourth property on left, (sign on gate) 7 minutes journey time.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Edinburgh Airport take A8 westbound and follow signs for M9 (towards Stirling). Join M9 at Newbridge roundabout, and leave at junction 3 (for Bo'ness and Linlithgow). Turn right onto A904, follow for 1.5 miles and turn right opposite bus shelter into Carriden Brae. Third turning on right is farm track beside stone cottage. Take this and follow for 700 yards. Carriden House is fourth property on left (sign on gate), 15 minutes.
