The Airlie is a B Listed building, part of a Georgian Terrace and is over 100 years old. It has been running as a Guest House for over 40 years. The present owners, Peter and Fiona Flynn took over in 1991. They live on the premises along with their 2 daughters. You can be assured of a warm welcome when you stay at the Airlie.

This sign hangs at the foot of our Front Garden in full view so that you will know when you have reached us. It is quite distinctive and even glows in the dark.

This is a view of our Breakfast Room.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am daily, unfortunatley we are unable to serve breakfast outwith these times. No discount is offered if you do not require breakfast.

When you arrive you will be asked to fill out a registration form here. There is also a bell above the desk on the left which you can ring if you require help for any reason during your stay. In the hall just outside the Breakfast Room we also have a payphone for your use should you require it.

We have lots of information available for your perusal while you are staying with us (this is just a very small sample!). Each room also has a folder with specially compiled information which Fiona has put together to help you enjoy your visit to Edinburgh.
Our large private car park
We have a large private car park at the rear of the Guest House. Guests may park their cars here free of chareg for the duration of their stay. Cars should be parked parallel against the walls on either side of the car park.
A Double/Twin/Small Family Room
At the Airlie we provide comfortable, clean rooms at reasonable prices.

This room has 1 double bed and 2 single beds and is suitable for 3 or 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The room also has its own en-suite shower, toilet and wash basin. All bedrooms are equipped with wash basin, central heating, television, tea/coffee making facilities and secondary glazing. All our rooms are very comfortable and cleaned to a high standard.
A Double/Twin/ Small Family Room
This is one of our most versatile rooms. It has 1 double bed and one single bed and can be used for 2 adults, 2 adults and 1 child, 1 adult and 2 children or 3 adults. It is an en-suite room with its own shower, toilet and wash basin. The room also has a television, tea/coffee making faciliites, central heating and secondary glazing.

Single Room with Private Facilities in the Hall
This is one of our single rooms. It has a wash basin inside the room with the shower and toilet just outside the room in the hall. This shower room is for the use of the Guest in the single room only and the guest is given a key to keep the facilitiy locked. The room also has a televison, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and secondary glazing.
Standard Double Room
This is a standard double room which has 1 double bed and is suitable for 2 adults or can be used for single occupancy. The room has a wash basin and shared shower and toilet facilities just outside the rom in the hall. The shower and toilet are shared with one other room, a maximum of 2 other Guests. The room also has television, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and secondary glazing. this room proves very popular with our Guests who are on a tight budget.

This room is a standard singe room with wash hand basin and shared shower and toilet facilities in the hall. The facilities are shared with one other room, a maximum of 2 other Guests.
