Getting there from the Information Centre
From Tourist Information Centre a taxi is approx £4. Or, by bus from Princes Street outside (East End of Princess Street - shop side) store LRT bus number 14, 30 or 33. if you like walking head to the east end of Princes Street at the Balmoral Hotel, turn ight onto North Bridge, then turn into the High Street. Go down to St Mary's Street, turn right and follow road which will become Dalkeith Road. It is just over one mile and Gifford House is on the left past the Commonwealth swimming
Getting There by Railway
From Waverley Station; Gifford House is just over one mile south of city centre. By taxi the fare is approx £4. By bus from Princes Street (East end of Princess Street - shop side), LRT bus numbers 14,30 or 33 stop in Dalkeith Road (ask the driver for the stop after Commonwealth swimming pool). By car or foot from east end of Princes Street turn right at Balmoral Hotel then left at first traffic lights then right. Follow road past the Commonwealth pool, guest house is on left.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Edinburgh Airport by taxi is approx £14. Or, take the airport bus into the city centre then bus (LRT 14, 30, 33) or taxi. By car; follow signs for city bypass. Stay on bypass until Sheriffhall roundabout, turn left on the A7 for city centre, follow A7 for four miles. Gifford House is on the right.
Getting There by Ferry
From Rosyth take train from Inverkeithing to Edinburgh Waverly train station. Then follow by rail.
