Glentress Hotel
The Glentress Hotel is the ideal location for those who just love the great outdoors. It's a haven for mountain biking enthusiasts, golfers, fishers and walkers alike.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting at the foot of Glentress Forest. Glentress was voted best UK mountain biking centre in 2004 by Single Track magazine, attracting more than 1000 visitors a week. Just five minutes drive away is Traquair Forest in Innerleithen. this is where the famous Downhill site is based alongside the black graded 7 Stanes cross country route.
We are situated a stones throw from the 18 hole championship standard golf course at Cardrona, a five minute drive from the 18 hole course in Peebles and 9 hole course in Innerleithen. If you are here to fish we are two minutes walk to the banks of the famous River Tweed.
The friendly family run hotel has 12 en-suite rooms. There is also a secure lock-up for bikes and a jet wash for cleaning bikes down after a challenging day on the trails. We have a refurbished restaurant, balcony bar area and an outdoor seating area. The restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding Borders countryside.
The Glentress has one of the most popular restaurants in the Peebles area, with locals and tourists alike and the kitchen is run by Chef Proprietor Olivier Bony. It is strongly advisable to book at weekends.
