Bishop's bridge is a 17th century packhorse bridge named after Archbishop Sharp who crossed the bridge shortly before he was murderd a few miles away on Magus muir in 1678

The cottage is set into the escarpment on the east side of the burn. The mezzanine landing leads out to the lowest tier of the terraced garden

Both bedrooms have windows to the back and front. This room also has a third window through the two foot thick gable wall.

The garden is small but well stocked with a host of plants including lavender, roses, lilac, several species of clematis, a Victoria plum, a miniature pear tree and much more besides.

The steps to the left lead up to a garden seat on the top level, from which one can look out over the village to the church and countryside beyond.
