Located just a few minutes’ walk from Sandyhills, one of southern Scotland's most magnificent sandy beaches, these Scandinavian-standard balconied lodges offer the perfect stay.
Set back from the coast and surrounded by pretty gardens, these comfortable lodges offer fantastic accommodation and lovely views over wooded fells, Barend Loch and Colvend Golf Course.
Owned by the proprietors of the multi award-winning Monkhouse Hill Cottages in Cumbria, the complex is beautifully maintained. On-site there is a family restaurant and bar, terraces with boules courts and a children’s play area.
All the lodges have large balconies with dining furniture - perfect for al fresco eating - and their full central heating ensures that they are warm and cosy all year round. On the ground floor there is a large living and dining area, suitable for up to eight people. For your comfort, the homely living room has comfy settees, a TV with DVD/Video, and a CD player with radio and cassette. The kitchens are all newly fitted and equipped with ceramic hob and oven, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster, and there is a good range of cooking equipment. The ground floor also has a double bedroom and the main bathroom with over-bath shower. On the first floor there is another double bedroom with an en suite WC and wash basin, as well as another room with a large open-plan sleeping area with four single beds and a small balcony.
As the lodges are next to each other, they are ideal for group holidays of up to 16 people while Thistle Lodges also offer reduced prices for couples and smaller families. Prices include electricity, heating, bed linen and towels and use of the on-site indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. Don't forget to take advantage of the on-line pre-arrival grocery ordering service including the Scottish speciality food hampers.
