Cloak Caravan Park
Cloak Caravan Park is situated 5 miles south of Stonehaven off the coastal route to Dundee, near the village of Catterline. The park offers a quiet break from noise and hassle of a large site with a wood walk, open space and the Children's favourites, a horse and highland cows. A new park is now under way.
We offer a luxury hire van which includes everything down to TV with DVD recorder, microwave, this van is of high quality 6-8 berth with three bedrooms. It is a van less than 4 years old and top of its range. This van is suitable for short and long term hires.
Once in the small village of Catterline you pass through the entrance ramp for the Creel Inn (great for steaks and seafood) on your left, you drive on past there and veer left and downwards towards the sea. Once there, the parkign area and access to the sea are obvious. Just a couple of miles North of Catterline is a Nature Reserve, where many varieties of birds may be found including dozens of puffins.
Looking seaward from the pier, an island can be observed at high water but at low water its just part of the adjoining mainland. Throughout the year a fairly large population of seals take up residence on the island. You can usually see them swimming between the pier and the island or just lying on the North East side of the island basking in the sun.
