Dervaig Bunkrooms

Dervaig Hall is a community run amenity in the village of Dervaig, which is 7 miles from Tobermory in the north west corner of the island. Dervaig is an attractive conservation village on the edge of a sheltered sea loch. Pretty whitewashed houses border a quiet main street. There are lovely walks along Loch Cuin, into the forest and to nearby standing stones. Within 150 metres there are 2 good village shops: one - serving freshly ground coffee, wines and books, and the other - a well stocked Post Office/General Store. There is also a traditional village pub serving good food, and the lounge bar is stocked with a wide range of whiskies.

Dervaig is a good base from which to explore this corner of Mull and for those without a car, there is a bus service from Tobermory to Calgary which stops at the entrance to the Hall grounds. Ulva Ferry is not far away. Boat trips from there to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa, and a short ferry crossing to the Island of Ulva (beautiful woodlands, walks, historic places and tearoom.

The Hall is an important focal point for the village and surrounding area, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year. During the summer the fortnightly Producers Markets provide a chance to sample some of the excellent food available locally: cheeses, meats, preserves and home baking and buy a variety of crafts made on the island.

The Bunkrooms are located within the Hall building. Accommodation for up to 10 guests in 2 rooms: 'Quinish' for up to 6 people and 'Cuin' for 4 people. Each room has adult sized bunk beds, an en-suite bathroom with WC, shower and basin. There is a communal kitchen and a seperate sitting and dining area. The main hall can be hires if required by guests.

Bookings can be made for individual beds or if you prefer you can book a room as a whole. Prices are from £12 per person per night.
