Davenport House

Davenport House is a traditionally restored Georgian townhouse providing luxury Edinburgh accommodation in the world-renowned New Town area of Scotland's festival city.
Built in the 1820s, the guest house is within easy walking distance of many places of historical interest. The New Town was created by the architect James Craig in 1804 and the buildings have retained many of the period features. The guest house stands in Great King Street - one of Edinburgh's famous cobbled streets, and provides superb accommodation and a quality four star service for both tourists and business clients in a relaxed and tranquil setting.
Our prime rooms, situated on the first and second floors, are individually decorated and stylishly furnished. Bedrooms on the top floor have a slight coomb ceiling with a roof top view of Edinburgh Castle. All bedrooms are non-smoking.
The dining room and lounge are situated on the ground floor, off the central hallway. The lounge provides a quiet, relaxing (no TV) environment, where guests can access our library of books, board games, video tapes & DVDs free of charge.
