Ideal centre for touring the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park (Scotland's first National Park). Riverview is in a superb location for fishing, walking, cycling and golf (there are numerous courses within 30 minutes drive). Moreover, it is well-sited for exploring the multitude of mountains and lochs in the Southern Highlands (Ben Ledi, Ben Vorlich, Ben More, Loch Katrine, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn and Loch Venachar are all close by).

Furthermore, there are a great number of castles to explore locally. The most well-known is Stirling Castle although there are other interesting castles in Doune, Dollar, Menstrie and Kilchurn (Loch Awe). Stirling is also home to the Wallace Monument where you can pay homage to the man immortalised in the film Braveheart. Callander and the surrounding area is famous for its association with Rob Roy (the infamous highland outlaw - also portrayed by Hollywood).
