Viewbank House is a former 19th century farmhouse that has been tastefully converted and extended into a traditional Family run Guest House, whilst retaining all it's original character, charm and features
From it's elevated position over Whiting Bay, it affords superb panoramic views across the Firth of Clyde and Holy Isle to the Ayrshire coastline taking in both Troon and Turnberry on a clear day. It is the ideal tranquil and secluded location, without being too remote, for those relaxing "get away from it all" short breaks allowing you to unwind, or for a more extended holiday.
Set in 3/4 acre of lawned grounds, Viewbank has the feel of a small hotel with it's large TV and piano lounge exclusively for guests with games for all the family, books, CD and video/DVD player. All 7 bedrooms (Doubles, Singles, Twins & Family rooms - most of which are en-suite, have tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers. There is also large ground floor bedroom for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Our breakfasts are 'Legendary' using local produce when available, served in the relaxed ambience of our dining room, surrounded by the many pieces of music & golfing memorabilia adorning the walls.
If Golf is your 'bag' the testing 18 hole Whiting Bay Golf Club is a mere 200m down the road, so leave your car in our car park and stroll along to the 1st tee. (Discounts available).
The mightily impressive Glenashdale Water Falls awaits the walker - one of Arran's many hidden wonders - don't forget your camera!
Whiting Bay is Arran's 3rd village, well served by it's varied facilities and the island bus routes, just 8 miles due South from the Ferry and Brodick. It is the perfect base for exploring the whole island.
The Isle of Arran is often described as "Scotland in Miniature" difficult to believe it's just 2 hours from Glasgow city centre, and even less to two major international airports. The Gulf Stream provides the temperate climate which allows palm trees and wild flowers to grow in profusion. Sandy beaches, coves and mountains, all within an hours sail from the mainland, make Arran the ideal holiday island.
