The Bladnoch Inn

Set in the heart of Bonnie Galloway, the Bladnoch Inn is ideally situated for a variety of country pursuits such as fishing, shooting, cycling, hillwalking, bird watching, sailing and horse riding. All are very popular in the area. The village of Bladnoch is just one mile from Wigtown, Scotlands National Book Town. We are also situated directly opposite The Bladnoch Distillery which makes a very interesting day out. You will enjoy relaxin in our friendly bar with open fire or dining in our A La Carte Restaurant on the finest traditional food of the region.
The rivers Bladnoch, Cree, Tarff and Luce all have their source in the Galloway Hills to the north, which along with the many lochs, continue to make Galloway a fisherman's delight.
We own almost three miles of very productive fishing on the River Bladnoch. It has a variety of different types of fishing habitat and offers excellent fly and spinning waters along its length. As the river is a spate river, it fishes best after a good fall of rain. As elsewhere in Scotland, there is no annual close season for course fish. Please contact us for details of fishing seasons.
Rough shooting, wild fowling and deer stalking can be arranged with our guide, who offers guests exciting and challenging woodland hunting among the spectacular scenery of South West Scotland. Please contact us for contact details of our shooting guide.
We cater for all occasions; Birthdays, Anniversarys, Hen Nights, Stage Nights and much much more...
Local activities include Paintballing, Off Road Driving, Mountain Biking, Clay Shooting and there are also many excellent golf course in the area including Wigtown and St Medans.
