Converted steading on a small working farm in Galloway Forest Park central to all outdoor activities and a comfortable base to unwind and relax. The farm is 8 miles north of Newton Stewart and 2 miles south of Glentrool, peacefully situated where the river Cree and Minnoch converge. It is an ideal holiday venue for horse owners, walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, canoeists, fisherman and golfers where all interests are catered for without travelling far. The accommodation consists of 3 self catering units - 1 single and 2 twin bedded -with open plan kitchen,breakfast bar and sitting room area. Bathroom has a shower. Centrally heated with TV. All linen, towels and heating are included in the price. There are clothes drying facilities and bikes can be washed and stored undercover. Packed lunches and meals or provisions can be provided by prior arrangement. Luggage transport can also be provided if walking/riding/cycling to different venues. Pets by arrangement and no smoking.

Horse owners -we offer grass livery/stabling with use of outdoor menage. Lessons can also be arranged by qualified instrucutress for those wishing to brush up their skills. There are many good forest rides.
Walkers -The Southern Upland Way borders Brigton Farm -short walk 9. It is an ideal opportunity to take a break from the S.U.W and explore the many short walks in the area. There is also an annual walking festival which is becoming very popular. The Merrick climb starts 2 miles from Brigton at the head of Glentrool.
Cyclists- Route 7 passes Brigton Road end. Cyclists can join the 7 stanes track at Glentrool visitor centre for a days strenuous cycling and for the less arduous 2 hour route around Loch Trool.

Birdwatchers -R.S.P.B. reserve -2 miles from Brigton. The wood of Cree reserve is the home of the wood warblers, flycatchers and redstarts and is a delightful walk passed waterfalls with views over the River Cree.
Fishermen - Fishing permits for the river Minnoch are available and there is plenty loch and sea fishing in the area.
Golfers -an excellent 18 hole parkland course in Newton Stewart and there are a further two 9 hole and four 18 hole courses in Wigtownshire.
Newton Stewart also offers bowling, both indoor and outdoor. Tennis, two all weather courts. Swimming at the Merrick centre. There are a number of good places to eat and several good takeaways in the town.
