Only 1 mile off the A75 Gretna-Stranraer route, an excellent base for visiting the many historical castles and ruins in South West Scotland and the Borders.

For cyclists, we are on Route 7 and offer secure storage facilities, forwarding luggage service available and quality packed lunches on request. Wheels Fargo, a mechanic operates within the village.

Powfoot, Lochmaben & Dumfries are but a few of the excellent golf courses the area has to offer.

Ideally located for the many varied walks to suit all ages and abilities.

We are only 4 miles from the world-renowned Gretna Green, famous for thousands of marriages over the ancient anvil, the Blacksmiths shop/tourist centre and Gretna Gateway Retail Outlet housing many high street stores.

A short drive takes you to Dumfries or Carlisle both enriched with local history.

Further afield you can drive along the breathtaking Galloway Coastline or visit Scotland's main cities of Edinburgh & Glasgow offering Castles, Museums, Restaurants and excellent shopping facilities. Travel south to the equally beautiful Lake District, Hadrian's Wall and many Roman Camps.

After a busy day you can relax by open coal fire, we offer various beverages & light snacks.
