West Wing - Westbourne House
Westbourne House was built in 1856 and was originally the home of local mill owner, John Paton and his family. This fascinating Victorian mansion is set within its own grounds, nestling beneath the Ochil Hills. The West Wing has been fully renovated and furnished to the highest standards and provides spacious and comfortable accommodation that can only be found in a house of this age - but fully equipped to meet the expectations of the 21st century! There are dramatic views of the Ochil Hills rising steeply behind the house. Ideal base for visiting Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and the Trossachs. There are six golf courses, an equestrian centre, ski slope and river canoeing within five miles of the house. Ideal for walkers of all capabilities ranging from low level riverside rambles to strenuous hiking in the Ochils. The Sterling Outlet village and furniture store are located nearby. There is a varied choice of good quality eating establishments and several pubs within walking distance. Local shops provide all that you need for your stay. You will be welcome by the hosts with afternoon tea and a full briefing of all local attractions will be given.
