Insh Cottage

Built in the 1700's as a slate quarriers cottage, Insh Cottage has been recently modernised to provide very comfortable accommodation with traditional character. Located in the heart of Ellenabeich, now a conservation village, the property is an ideal retreat for those wishing to experience village life as it used to be. Whether you are a romantic couple wishing to cuddle up in front of the cosy stove and enjoy the stunning sunsets over Mull or are geared up for exploring the Isle of Seil and surrounding area we are sure that Insh Cottage would be a perfect base.
The island boasts stunning coastal walks with views of the Inner Hebridies and Northern Ireland and has it's own 9-hole golf course. Boat trips to the loacal isles can be organised at the village Post Office (April - October) and fishing supplies and cycle hire are available locally. In addition a small passanger ferry operates regulary for access to the beautiful islands of Easdale and Luing. For wildlife enthusiasts the area sports a wide variety of flora and fauna including otters, feral goats, badgers, buzzards, dolphins, propoise, osprey and those lucky enough may even spot a golden or sea eagle. For the horticulturalist An Cala garden, established in the early 1930's by Mawson, is only a few minutes walk from the cottage and is a must at any time of year.
Oban is only a 30 minute drive away, and here a full range of visitor facilities can be found.
