Oak Cottage - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

Turn left out of Pitlochry Tourist Information Centre, left into East Moulin Road and then second left into Higher Oakfield. Two hundred yards along on the left hand side, immediately before the entrance to the Knockendarroch Hotel, look for a number 4A on the wall. Turn left here and proceed down the track to the cobbled courtyard below Oak Cottage.

Getting There by Car

From the south: proceed north on the A9 into Pitlochry town centre. Just after passing under the railway bridge, turn right into East Moulin Road and then second left into Higher Oakfield. Two hundred yards along on the left hand side, immediately before the entrance to the Knockendarroch Hotel look for a number 4A on the wall. Turn left here and proceed down the track to the cobbled courtyard below Oak Cottage.

Getting There by Railway

Follow the road from the railway station in Pitlochry until it joins Atholl Road and turn right. Walk along Atholl Road towards the Tourist Information Centre for a short distance, then turn left up Bonnethill Road. After the Scotland's Hotel turn right into Toberargan Road, then second right into Higher Oakfield. Just after the entrance to the Knockendarroch Hotel on the right look for a number 4A on the wall. Turn right here and proceed down the track to the cobbled courtyard below Oak Cottage.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Edinburgh airport. Proceed to Pitlochry to the local Tourist Information Centre in Atholl Road, on the right, then turn left up Bonnethill Road. After the Scotland's Hotel turn right into Toberargan Road, then second right into Higher Oakfield. Just after the entrance to the Knockendarroch Hotel on the right look for a number 4A on the wall. Turn right here and proceed down the track to the cobbled courtyard below Oak Cottage.

Getting There by Ferry
