Oak Cottage
Oak Cottage is a beautifully secluded, self catering holiday cottage, only approx 6 minutes walk from Pitlochry town centre. Once the stables of a large house, it has been modernised to a high standard. Sunny walled garden. Very quiet location yet an easy walk to restaurants, Pitlochry Festival Theatre and local shops. Many delightful walking and cycling routes from the door. Fishing and shooting are also available locally. The lounge looks onto a bank with lovely mature oak trees overhanging the cobbled courtyard parking area - hence its name: Oak Cottage, in Higher Oakfield. There is a very well fitted large open plan lounge and kitchen, with dining area. The family bedroom has twin beds that can be converted into a 'super king-size' bed, plus a z-bed and a cot (by arrangement). The south-facing garden is a real sun-trap and provides a peaceful location for enjoying meals out of doors, with a table, chairs and outside stone-built barbecue. The garden is set to lawns, shrubs and fruit. There is a lockable shed for storing bicycles and other equipment. This is an ideal location for touring much of Scotland and your host Nicky is delighted to help you to plan trips to some of the most beautiful hidden corners of Highland Perthshire, or indeed to take part in many of the plentiful outdoor activities available locally. Short Autumn and winter breaks are available for three days or more.
