OAK COTTAGE
At the end of your journey, park the car in the cobbled courtyard, open the wooden gate and step into Oak Cottage garden. The garden is a delightful, completely secluded south-facing suntrap. It has a lawned area and flower beds, garden furniture and a stone-built BBQ. There is also a large wooden earth-floored shed where bicycles or other equipment may be stored.
Enjoy a well earned cup of tea or glass of wine and listen to the bird song.

As you climb the stairs to the cottage, the image of the old and varied roof tops open up with the hills beyond.
Whether you are an accomplished walker, or just enjoy the occasional stroll, ther is something for everybody in Pitlochry. The town centre is approximately a six minute walk where you will find a variety of local shops including local game and hand-made produce. Also within easy walking distance are Pitlochry Festival theatre and Pitlochry dam and fish ladder. For those who are more adventurous there are over 50 Munros (that is mountains above 3,000 feet) within an hours drive and many beautiful walks can start at your door.
The kitchen and lounge are of an open plan design and incorporate a large airy space. The kitchen is very well equipped, with an electric cooker, microwave oven, washing machine/tumble dryer, fridge and freezer and ample storage cupboards. A kitchen towel, oven gloves, tea towels, washing-up liquid and kitchen roll are all provided. As well as enough tea, coffee,milk and biscuits to start you off before you explore Pitlochry town centre.

The lounge area is furnished to provide a high standard of comfort, thus the four star rating given by Visitscotland. It has an electric fire and storage heater/convector radiator (all electricity is included in the rental price). Comfortable seating comprising 2-seater settee and arm chair. There is a 28" television and DVD player, an assortment of games and books and a lovely aspect overlooking a bank with mature oak trees overhanging the cobbled courtyard parking area.
The shower room has an instant electric shower unit in a large tiled enclosure. There is also a heated towel rail and shaver point and light over the mirror.
After a long day relax in your cosy bedroom, with coombed ceiling. Beds can be made up as twins (as seen here) or as a super kingsize double. All bed linen and towels are provided. A z bed can be arranged if you would like a visitor or a travel cot. The bedroom is easily large enough to accomodate either.
There is plenty of space for all your holiday "gear" with a double wardrobe and lots of hangers, large chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets
