St Margaret's Hope BackPackers - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

Continue past the St Magnus Cathedral onto palace Road, follow signs A961 to St. Margaret's Hope. Continue over all 4 Churchill Barriers onto St Margaret's Hope. Turn down to centre of village and the hostel is on the left, next to the post office and pub.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Kirkwall airport turn left on exit A960, drive for 5 miles and follw signs for St Margaret's Hope. Continue over all 4 Churchill Barriers onto St Margaret's Hope. Turn down to centre of village and the hostel is on the left, next to the post office

Getting There by Ferry

Pentland Ferries: car ferry from Gills Bay to St. MArgaret's Hope. Follow the pier road and the BackPackers is on the right next to the post office.

The Bus from Inverness can take you directly to John O'Groats where you can catch the 'Pentland Venture' (passengers and push bikes only) to Burwick. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at St. Margaret's Hope village and if you walk down until you see the Post Office - the hostel is along side.
