Cyclist's: there are many paths around Helensburgh to Loch Lomond, Luss, Balloch, Balmaha, Inveruglus, Tarbet, Ardlui, scenery is spectacular, boat, ferry trips.
Swimming pool 5 minute walk.
5 minute level walk into Helensburgh town centre 2 minute walk West promenade/River Clyde, views make a walk along the promenade very worth while.
Paddle steamer Waverley runs all summer from Helensburgh pier, stopping at many destinations, Ferry trips run daily.

Outdoor activity centre and pony trekking nearby.

Excellent half hourly train services to Glasgow.

Drive/ cycle: Great day out following three Lochs trail, on reaching Arrochar on Loch Longside drive through the beautifull mountains to Loch Fine or Inverary village, the scenery on this trip is truly unforgetable and a camera essential.
Train's from Helensburgh upper station through the mountains and moors all the way to Oban, camera essential, from Oban steam train to Malaig.
