Double Bedroom of Craigwell Cottage
The double bedroom has a standard sized double bed, and built in wardrobes for storage. It is on the ground floor of the cottage with window overlooking Calton Road.
Living area on the upper floor of Craigwell Cottage - you can see over the roofs of the Royal Mile and the Scottish Parliament to Salisbury Crags in Holyrood Park.
Campbell's Close can be seen from the window - this leads to Clarinda's Tea Room which means that you don't even have to cook your own breakfast when staying at Craigwell Cottage!

In the kitchen you'll find you have all the equipment you need to self-cater - hob (stove top), oven, micro-wave, fridge with small ice compartment, washer dryer and plenty of crockery and cutlery.

If you open the doors in the dining room on a warm summer's evening you may hear bagpipe music being played in the courtyard of the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the distinguished visitors dining there.
The Living Area is open plan to the Dining Area and Kitchen in Craigwell Cottage, and features doors giving views over towards Campbell's Close and Salisbury Crages.
Campbell's Close provides a short-cut on foot through to the Canongate - part of Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile.
The Living/Dining area has been furnished with subtle accents hinting at a Scottish theme.

Walk up Campbell's Close opposite Craigwell Cottage, and you'll find the Canongate section of the Royal Mile - leading down to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in one direction and up to Edinburgh Castle in the other - how close to the centre do you want to be?

As a visitor to Craigwell Cottage, you have access to our hidden garden which climbs steeply up behind the old Brewery buildings to the Burns Monument on Regent Road at the top. Magnificent views await - to your right you can just make out Edinburgh Castle, but the view in this picture is towards the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the wonderful open spaces of Holyrood Park. What a great place for a morning jog.
See Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags which dominate Edinburgh's skyline from the secret garden of the Old Craigwell Brewery.
A key to this garden can be found in Craigwell Cottage - it's well worth the climb. Take a picnic up there and have your own private view of the Edinburgh skyline.

The cobbled street of Calton Road winds past Nether Craigwell, and on to the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the foot of the road.

A travel cot for an infant can be placed in this room by moving the twin beds together, but for your comfort we recommend that only a maximum of 4 people (including baby) are accommodated at Craigwell Cottage.
