Do You Enjoy The Countryside?

Welcome to your countryside retreat. Unwind with leisurely walks, on the nearby beach or through the forest - view our wildlife close at hand. (Bird-watching is of special interest, with many varied species of hawk etc).

Fish for trout in our own loch, pitch your fly fishing skills and eat fresh trout for supper. Sit in the tranquil garden of your accommodation, sip your wine - relax.

Do You Enjoy Activity Holidays?

Bring your own horse we have accommodation for them too. Stabling and grazing with lots of good hacking. Just want to go riding? Within 5 minutes - book a lesson at the local riding school or join others for a hack. Mountain bike routes start from here. Safely take the children without having to travel on the main roads.

Just round the corner, golf at Colvend a good 18 hole course where visitors are welcome. Visit another three courses within half an hour travelling time.

Situation:

Historically, Fairgirth was a resting place for the monks on their travels between Dundrennan Abbey and Sweetheart Abbey. Situated on the coast we have an advantage of being in the countryside but having access to nearby towns. (Dalbeattie the nearest town is 5 miles, Dumfries for the "ladies shopping trips" is 18 miles).

Local villages are close at hand, offering good pub grub and hotels for the Saturday night special dining.

Accommodation:

As a family run business, we hope to treat you as if you are our own guests. Offering you comfort and flexibility within your own self-catered accommodation. Your "home" for your holiday has the characteristics of a country retreat, with the modern appliances, which make life easier.

Lounge with bed-settee if required, with Sky television. Two double bedrooms, shower room with toilet, bathroom with toilet and fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave etc.

Patio area for al-fresco dining. Sorry no pets.
