Cruck Cottage

Set in the stunning Highland Perthshire countryside just outside the market town of Aberfeldy this 200 year old B listed, single storey Cruck Cottage has just been completely renovated to the highest standards whilst retaining the original cruck beams and stone fireplace.

Drumdewan Cruck Cottage is situated near the historic village of Dull in stunning Highland Perthshire just outside the Highland market town of Aberfeldy.
Dull was the site of the first seat of learning in Scotland and was where St Eon` an set up a monastery in the 7th century after arriving from the religious settlement on the island of Iona. Drumdewan is Gaelic for the `place of safety` and was at one time surrounded by 3 stone crosses. Any fugitives who claimed the right of safety once within the boundary of the crosses were protected by the church.
Today you can find safety, luxury, relaxation and a fantastic place to unwind.

With three windows, the bedroom is light and airy whilst the Velux roof window has views to the stars. The grand king size bed is lavishly furnished with sumptuous quilts and top quality bed linen.

Both the sitting room and bedroom have wall mounted digital LCD TV screens.

The cottage has stunning views to Glen Lyon and Ben Lawers and is set in its own private landscaped garden with a barbeque and an amazing Stone table constructed from a huge slab of stone buried in the original floor of the cottage.. It is also near to the Highland Adventure Safari Lodge, Farm Shop and Café where guests benefit from preferential rates for award winning safaris into the surrounding mountains and off-road driving on a hilltop course. There are also preferential rates at Kenmore Golf Course and the highly acclaimed Courtyard Restaurant.
