A short drive gives access to spectacular coastal and hill scenery ideal for walking or cycling. There are several golf courses nearby and Carrick Shore is ideal for swimming, sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. The artists town Kirkcudbright and also Gatehouse of Fleet are only a ten minute drive away with several restaurants and shops available.
