Stay at The Shore
For a peaceful overnight stay on Kirkwalls historic waterfront, take a room at The Shore. With 9 ensuite rooms, we provide a haven for those in the islands to work and heaven for those here to holiday. We specialise in simple comforts a great bed, good food and a friendly bar and lounge.
Our room rates range from £85 for premier double in peak season, to just £40 for a value single in the quieter months a room only rate with Continental breakfast charged at £5 (which customers tell us is excellent value for a splendid start of day meal).
Eat at The Shore
With a reputation for simple, well presented, well served meals, taking breakfast, lunch, dinner or just coffee and a cake, has fast become a must-do when in Kirkwall. Our friendly bistro-style dining room sits 34, with our lounge bar specialising in less formal lunches, teas and suppers. Our menus reflect the islands wealth of quality local produce and change regularly to match the season.
Drink at The Shore
There are two bars at The Shore. Our lounge provides a quiet comfortable haven, light bright and airy through the day and snug at night. The ideal place for a wee break or to unwind at the end of a busy days work or touring. The Bar provides a livelier pier-side venue with traditional pub service in a more contemporary café/bar setting. Quality wines, beers and spirits are served comfortably alongside light lunches, snacks and suppers. With soup, teas and coffee on the go all day, a drink at The Shore can turn into much more!
