High Drummore Cottages
High Drummore Holiday Cottage is a fully serviced traditional Galloway style three bedroom self catering holiday cottage in an area of spectacular scenic beauty.
The lounge has a leather easy chair with a very comfortable three piece suite, TV aand DVD
The Bedrooms (three)
Each bedroom has freshly laundered sheets, a large wardrobe, drawer chest, mirror and bedside cabinet. The beds have Duvets (13 tog) also each person has 2 pillows. Mattress and pillows also have hygienic covers.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower and towel rail. We also provide toilet roll.The bathroom is very clean and cosy.
Kitchen
All pots and pans and dishes for 6. There is a dishwasher,washing machine, fridge / freezer, coffee maker and microwave.
Kildonan Glen
Kildonan Glen continues from Glen Lee,
which runs to the top of Drummore Village. Glen Lee is a haven for wildlife.
The Mull of Galloway nature reserve
The RSPB has an interesting reserve at the Mull of Galloway and a visitor centre with lots of local information. The coffee shop ( Gallie Craig ) has spectacular panoramic views including the imposing lighthouse, the Isle of Man and Ireland.
Motte and Bailey Castle
High Drummore motte and bailey castle (Protected Site) is situated at the tip where two glens meet and is 60m North of High Drummore. A gold torc was found at the site and is now in the National museum in Edinburgh
Cliffs around the southern Rhins
There are many interesting features to be found in the local area.
