One of the most beautifully situated country cottages with views of un-spoilt farmland (with livestock) in the foreground, of the Solway Firth and Wigtown Bay to the south and west and the Galloway Hills to the west and north. The cottage itself has been modernised, extended and equipped with all that is needed for a comfortable, peaceful holiday. Access is by a farm road which continues over the hill to the Brighouse Bay Golf and Leisure Club (about 0.5 miles away) which has a golf course, swimming pool, pony trekking, quad biking etc and just further on is the sandy beach of Brighouse Bay. Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet are about 20 minutes drive away and have a good variety of shops and other attractions. the enclosed 0.75 acre garden is all that the most energetic children could wish. Excellent beaches, sea fishing, coastal walks, local cycling, wildlife conservation area all nearby.,

**The key for Allanhead should be picked up from The Borgue Hotel in Borgue. It is not possible to miss the Hotel and it is open all day Saturday and Sunday.
