Craigard House Hotel – your home from home!
A warm welcome awaits you at the Mull of Kintyre. Craigard House Hotel occupies an imposing position overlooking Campbeltown Loch (already two famous songs – and this is only the first paragraph!).
A recently converted Victorian mansion with an interesting and varied history, the Craigard House Hotel offers a friendly and informal stay, in comfortable and welcoming rooms, all with fully tiled en suite bathrooms with bath and shower.
Most of the bedrooms have stunning views over Campbeltown Loch – with our South-facing location offering panoramic vistas of the sunrise and sunset. The range of rooms varies from one single room, through standard double rooms, to large family rooms containing a double bed and either one or two single beds. We also have a Four Poster Master Bedroom, with a magnificent bow window – ideally placed to take in the wonderful view. All bedrooms are well-appointed, with fully-tiled en-suite bathrooms including bath and shower.
The Lochside Restaurant offers excellent cuisine – lovingly prepared by renowned local celebrity Chef, Joanne Baird, and her team – with freshly caught seafood and home-made produce a speciality. Coupled with the fine wine list and stunning views, this is so popular, that it is advisable to book in advance!
Kintyre is a beautiful peninsular, with island views to West and East. Whether your interest is scenic beauty, golf, Malt Whisky, ornithology or any of the multitude of watersports and leisure activities the area has to offer, we will do our best to provide a comfortable base. It is even possible to hire the whole hotel – all arrangements can be made to suit your individual needs – from tee times to transport.
Our aim is to ensure that Craigard is the Hotel in which we would like to stay – if we were away from home.
