Morroch Bay Beach Cottages

Two beach cottages in a private bay directly accessible by four wheel drive vehicle or a short walk from the cliff top. Access is not for the fainthearted with a gated rough track through fields to a cliff top parking area. Only experienced off-road drivers should only attempt driving down the cliff. A collection/delivery service is provided for other visitors.

We are located in an idyllic coastal situation 2 miles from the picturesque fishing village of Portpatrick in the south-west corner of Scotland. These unique beach cottages stand in their own 25 acre private bay facing south over the sea with a wonderful backdrop of high cliffs.

MORROCH COTTAGE :This cottage has been completely modernised surrounded by lawns and enjoys spectacular south facing seafront position. Morroch has all the conveniences that you require including telephone as mobile phones do not work.

We offer 3 twin bedded rooms (one with bunk beds) and 1 double bedroom. Bathroom/WC, separate shower room, utility area with second WC, freezer and washer/drier. Although simply furnished it has an open fire creating a cosy atmosphere in the sitting room that has a TV, video and music centre.

There is a veranda along the front of the cottage where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful view and sound of the sea.

SOUTHERN CROFT : This newly renovated croft lies at the foot of the steep cliff track, approximately 0.25 miles from Morroch Cottage. It opens directly onto the rocky shoreline protected by Scottish Natural Heritage. Completely modernised and enjoying a spectacular south west facing shoreline position.

One double bedroom, lounge with TV/video and double futon. Shower room/WC. Large porch with freezer and washer/drier. Features of the cottage include wood burning stoves, under floor heating and a shore front patio. Telephone and (optional) intercom/child listening link to Morroch Cottage.

Sorry no dogs allowed in the Southern Croft.
