Ashdene House - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

From the Tourist Information Centre on Princes Street, go west to The Waverley Bridge and take Lothian Bus No. 42 or 67 (south) to Mayfield Church. Cross at traffic lights to Fountainhall Road (day-time Mon-Fri). Cross Princes St. and take Lothian Bus No. 3 or 31 to 2nd stop on Minto Street. Cross road, walk down to traffic lights and turn right onto West Mayfield. Continue to Fountainhall Road (evening or weekend).

Getting There by Car

From A720 city by-pass take Straiton Junction A701 and follow signs towards city centre. At traffic lights at bottom of Liberton Brae, vere left onto Mayfield Road. Turn left at 3rd traffic lights (Mayfield Church) onto Fountainhall Road.

Getting There by Railway

From Waverley Railway Station go to Waverley Bridge and take Lothian Bus No. 42 or 67 (south) to Mayfield Church. Cross at traffic lights to Fountainhall Road (day-time Mon-Fri). Getting there by Aeroplane

Follow A720, city by-pass going south, to Straiton Junction. Turn onto A701 and follow signs towards city centre. At traffic lights at bottom of Liberton Brae, veer left onto Mayfield Road. Turn left at 3rd traffic lights (Mayfield Church) onto Fountainhall Road.

Alternatively take Airlink Shuttle Bus to city centre (Waverley Bridge). and take Lothian Bus No. 42 or 67 (south) to Mayfield Church. Cross at traffic lights to Fountainhall Road (day-time Mon-Fri). Cross Princes St. and take Lothian Bus No. 3 or 31 to 2nd stop on Minto Street. Cross road, walk down to traffic lights and turn right onto West Mayfield. Continue to Fountainhall Road (evening or weekend).

Getting There by Ferry

From Rosyth ferry terminal take A90 towards Edinburgh across Forth Road Bridge and then follow A720, city by-pass going south, to Straiton Junction. Turn onto A701 and follow signs towards city centre. At traffic lights at bottom of Liberton Brae, vere left onto Mayfield Road. Turn left at traffic lights at Mayfield Church onto Fountainhall Road.
