The Ploughman's Rest is a newly converted 18th century stable on the periphery of a working mixed farm in South West Scotland. The cottage has been converted to a very high standard with en-suite facilities in all three bedrooms to create a luxury contained self catering holiday let.
New to the self catering market and competitively priced, the cottage is approximately 1.5 miles from the craft village of West Kilbride. It is situated at the end of a tree-lined avenue nestling at the foot of rolling hills with a fantastic panoramic view over the Firth of Clyde, one of Britain's most beautiful estuaries.

The water will be hot and your rooms awaiting you to make yourself at home. For further supplies there are 3 stores within walking distance, which are open till late, and there is an abundance of excellent restaurants within a few miles.
The village has its own train station with parking facilities and is within 40 minutes drive of Glasgow and Prestwick airports. It is also approximately 30 minutes from the ferries across the Firth of Clyde to Argyll and the Islands of Arran, Cumbrae and Bute. These Islands have many tourist attractions and activities.
For the golfing enthusiast there are many links courses nearby. West Kilbride Golf Club, founded in 1893, has a good reputation as a challenging championship standard links course where day tickets are available.
If you want something a little more "high-octane", both quad biking and clay pigeon shooting are available just a few miles from the farm. Fishing is also available for a more relaxing pastime.
The countryside around the farm and the village offers stunning surroundings for a simple wander. The beach is within walking distance if you want to swim or just scramble among rock pools by the sea.
